Painter and installation artist working by commission

In 1967 when I was 10, my artist mother made a decision for my sister and me that breathtakingly altered our lives. With 3 trunks and 14 suitcases we moved from Los Angeles to Paris France.

It was a poetic existence – initially living in a convent then a tiny 4th floor walk up in an edgy neighborhood, yet always surrounded by extraordinary beauty. The luminescent atmosphere, the indelible grace and romance of the gothic and baroque arches around me, these were the compelling forces – the fertile ground from which the artist seed within me was born.

I thank my late mother Mary Guggenheim for teaching me how to “see”, her unfailing devotion to her art work and for “dragging'“ us girls all over Europe to lead a remarkable and unusual life.

I currently live in San Francisco with my long time partner
